For dog owners, there's nothing quite like the feeling of walking through a wooded trail or along the shoreline with your best friend in tow. Dogs have a very different relationship with nature and can open our eyes to new surroundings. What makes being outdoors with your doggo even better is they'll keep you in shape — whether you want to be physically active or not. If you love being outside or need a little bit of help staying motivated to move, then you'll love these dog breeds.

Don't let their small size fool you. Beagles are extremely active and very energetic. They can really go the distance. They love to move and have fun, and it seems as though they never tire of it. They can get anyone off the couch and running around in no time. If you lead an active lifestyle already and are looking for someone who can keep up, you'll love having a beagle around.
